Artistic Pursuits Book 2 Grd 9-12 Color & Composition

Artistic Pursuits is a comprehensive art program designed to involve the student in the creative process while developing observational skills. Books offer a complete overview and easy to understand introduction to the subject of art. Each book includes a set of fine art prints by the masters to aid students in understanding concepts introduced. Books are written to the student and require little or no teacher preparation. This book builds on the foundational concepts in Book 1, and includes 16 units exploring color and how color affects composition. Four projects in each unit cover creative thinking, art appreciation with a focus on European art, techniques used in watercolor, and a final project using direct observation of nature and still-life objects chosen by the student. Includes 64 projects. 9th-12th graders will gain mastery in color mixing and watercolor techniques.
