CAREER COACHING FOR STUDENTS™
About Our Talent Assessments
The Most Comprehensive and Valid Talent Assessments Available to Help Students Find Their Passion
Behavioral research suggests that the most effective people are those who understand themselves, both their strengths and weaknesses, so they can develop strategies to meet the demands of their environment. Knowledge of an individual's attitudes help to tell us WHY they do things. Career Coaching for Students™ uses two assessments to provide focus and greater reliability about a student’s talent.
Identifying talent will lead to high potential career choices. Creating a plan to provide for education, experiences and training and following that plan will tell potential employers WHAT the student can do.
What Drives the Student?
The Success Insights™ PIAV identifies the student’s personal interests, attitudes and values that drive them. The PIAV report measures the relative prominence of six basic interests or attitudes (a way of valuing life): Theoretical, Utilitarian, Aesthetic, Social, Individualistic and Traditional.
Attitudes help to initiate one's behavior and are sometimes called the hidden motivators because they are not always readily observed. It is the purpose of this report to help illuminate and amplify some of those motivating factors for the student and to build on the strengths that the student will bring to the work environment. Choosing career options that are aligned with one’s PIAV scores significantly increases the potential for finding passion work.
How Does the Student Prefer to Interact in their Environment?
Behavioral assessments help to tell us HOW a person prefers to behave and perform in the work environment.
Career Planning Insights™ measures four dimensions of normal behavior:
• how you respond to problems and challenges
• how you influence others to your point of view
• how you respond to the pace of the environment
• how you respond to rules and procedures set by others
A person's behavior is a necessary and integral part of who they are. In other words, much of our behavior comes from "nature" (inherent), and much comes from "nurture" (our upbringing). It is the universal language of "how we act," or our observable human behavior. Career Planning Insights™ analyzes behavioral style; that is, a person's manner of doing things.
Both the Success Insights™ PIAV and Career Planning Insights™ assessments are used in Career Coaching for Students™ to identify career choices in a fun and reliable process.
