Kathy Abelanet is honored and humbled to begin her 11th year with the Center for Home Education. Her philosophy is that every student has been given a purpose and a message from God; her goal is to help each child realize their God-given potential. She has a B.S. in Secondary Education and is currently completing her masters. She has taught English, Spanish, and ESL in the public as well as private school systems. She left teaching for a while to be the Teen Court Coordinator for the North Richland Hills Teen Court, working extensively with young people. Although teaching is one of her passions, her greatest passion is God and then, her family. She has been married for 30 years to a wonderful man. She has two children, Camille and Nicolas. She thanks God everyday that He bestowed and entrusted such incredible gifts to her.
