I have lived in Watauga since 2001. I am a single-parent with four kids ages 22, 18, and 12-year-old twin girls. My children have struggled with learning disabilities, social anxiety, and my oldest has Aspergers. So I am familiar with how to relate and reach those students.
I worked in the operating room for 20 years. In 2011, while I was still working full-time, I also went to school full-time and earned a bachelors degree of interdisciplinary studies from UTA graduating with honors. I’m not sure how that happened except to say it was God. In 2016, God redirected my path toward teaching, so I began pursuing the public school system. He again guided me and placed me at the Center. I am thrilled to be starting my third year at the Center.
I enjoy spending time with my children, helping and encouraging others, and serving God!
