Classical Approach to History - Grades 7-8: Nancy Brown
Come delve into ancient history with Story of The World. This year-long, 14 week class will take students on a journey with ancient people and their lands. We will use expository and creative writing assignments, as well as group projects, geography, drama, and oral presentations to make that time in history come alive!. Each student will need their own copy of Story of The World Vol. One.
Class Time: 1 1/2 hours. This is a two 14-week semester, class totalling 28 weeks.
Biography:
Nancy Brown graduated from UTA with a BA in Speech/Communications and Marketing and a minor in English. She homeschooled her children for 13 years in the Houston area while running a homeschool co-op and teaching classes at Alvin Community College. Nancy taught classes in Speech, Advanced Speech, Honors English and a variety of writing and language arts at the elementary, middle school and high school level at the Home Education Partnership of Texas in Houston from 1999-2008, when she relocated with her husband to Dallas, Texas.
