Elementary Creative Writing - Grades 3 - 5: Nancy Brown
Elementary Creative Writing Grades 3-5 - This 16 week course introduces the 3-5 grader to fables, folklore, myths and other types of literature from around the world. Students will work individually and in groups to write and act out plays, poetry and creative stories. They will learn to tell stories using vocal and facial expression and body language as well. This class will foster a love of writing and expression.

Class Time: 1 1/2 hours. This is a one 16-week semester, class.
Biography:
Nancy Brown graduated from UTA with a BA in Speech/Communications and Marketing and a minor in English. She homeschooled her children for 13 years in the Houston area while running a homeschool co-op and teaching classes at Alvin Community College. Nancy taught classes in Speech, Advanced Speech, Honors English and a variety of writing and language arts at the elementary, middle school and high school level at the Home Education Partnership of Texas in Houston from 1999-2008, when she relocated with her husband to Dallas, Texas.
