Science FUNdamentals
Children are naturally inquisitive and want real answers to their questions. They also learn best through fun, hands-on experimentation. This class combines these two ingredients to guide students into scientific thinking and investigation while equipping them with the foundational knowledge they need to think critically about the world around them.
Science FUNdamentals! uses RealScience-4-Kids, a comprehensive science curriculum geared towards the elementary grade levels, especially grades 4-6. Chemistry and Astronomy introduce fundamental concepts to begin to form a solid science foundation.
Curriculum: FALL - Real Science for Kids - Chemistry Level 1 and SPRING - Real Science for Kids - Astronomy Level 1
Class Time: 1 1/2 hour - This is a two-semester, 28 week class.
Biography:
Lydia Boto is a graduate of Baylor University and has been teaching for over 16 years. For the last 5 years, Lydia taught at Liberty Christian School, in Argyle, Texas.
Lydia is known for her innovative and inspiring teaching methods and is excited to bring her love of learning to the classroom at the Center for Home Education.
Lydia and her husband have made Southlake their home since 1994 and have 3 children and four wonderful grandsons.
