In this class, your student will learn a fun skill that has some amazing benefits such as, helping with fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving.  The craft of crotchet is soothing, and so versatile.  You can make so many things with a hook and yarn!


Your student will learn the basics of crochet.  We will start with the foundation of crochet; with the starter stitches and then progress to different combination stitches for projects.  In class will be doing fun projects such as scarves, “granny” squares, and be able to expand to rugs, and stuffed animals. 

They will learn how to read patterns and understand the symbols used for the specific “stitch”. 


Homework:  I will ask that they work on the project at home throughout the week to help them continue the project, as well as allow them to practice what they learned in class.
