Step into the spotlight and let your creativity shine!

Whether your child dreams of commanding the stage or simply wants to build confidence and

have fun, Intro to Theatre is the perfect class to explore the exciting world of acting!

Through engaging theatre games, scene work, and interactive lessons, students will develop

essential performance skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for storytelling and stage presence.

This year, we will be following a structured acting curriculum with lessons covering key theatrical

concepts such as stage direction, character development, voice projection, and reacting to

prompts. Students will also practice poetry readings, skit rehearsals, and improvisational

exercises that encourage creativity and teamwork. Each class is designed to build confidence,

communication skills, and self-expression—all while having a blast!

At the end of the year, students will take center stage in a special recital to showcase their hard

work, creativity, and newfound acting abilities.

What to Bring to Class:

  • A folder to keep printouts, scripts, and lesson materials

  • A water bottle to stay hydrated

  • Clothes they can move in (no skirts without leggings, please!)

  • Shoes that stay securely on their feet (no flip-flops or loose shoes)

  • Long hair tied back so they can fully engage in activities

Theatre Perks!

✔ Unleash creativity through improvisation and storytelling

✔ Master the art of expression with vocal and physical acting exercises

✔ Work as a team to create dynamic and engaging performances

✔ Learn theatre etiquette, memorization skills, and stage presence

This class is all about bringing stories to life, exploring imagination, and having FUN! Whether

they’re a natural performer or brand new to theatre, every student will have a role to play and a

chance to shine.
