Is your little one a budding artist? If so, Real Art for K-3 is the perfect place! Every child loves to paint! In this class designed just for your Pint Size Picasso, your student will learn some basics of art with Mrs. Jackson, such as color theory, value, shape, and composition. We will draw, use pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints to make our masterpieces. Most activities will be teacher led, but on occasion students will have free choice art days! Everyone needs time to unleash their unique creativity! 

Occasional homework may consist of short, simple lessons such as reading about an artist or particular piece of artwork or style of art, maybe even just a coloring sheet, but it will not be a homework heavy class, and there will not be homework every week. Younger kids may need a parent to assist them, but lessons will only take a few minutes.

Supplies: Most art supplies will be provided, but students will need a portfolio to keep their work safe. These can be found at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby or on Amazon. The size should be 11x14”. 

At the end of the year there will be an art show! Each student enrolled in this art class will have a display featuring some of their favorite art pieces that they created.
