Have you ever thought of combining science and art? We are going to do just that!

Your 6-8th grade student will study and learn a science concept, and then we will do an art inspired activity based on that concept. The inspired projects may vary greatly depending on the subject. Some projects may be typical canvas and paint projects, or sculpting or building something. Others may be more observational… like sound waves.

There is no textbook required for this class, all study materials and art supplies will be provided.

Students will have some homework for this class, and should expect to spend 30-60 minutes per week on homework.

Materials needed:

• 3 ring binder to keep all reading materials

• Pencils

• We will also use colored pencils and scissors on occasion.
