Story of the World Volume 4-Modern Age, for 4th-6th grade, taught by Tanya Stuart, will bring modern history to life as the students marvel at the Crystal Palace, follow Gandhi to the sea, rocket through the Space Race,

and more. The class is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of history through stories and hands on projects in class. Each week the students will be assigned 1-2 chapters of the book to read along with a notebook of questions they are to answer as they read. When they come back to class they will go over the answers to the homework.

They will also be doing map work, exercises, and hands-on projects to bring modern history to life.

Benefits:

1. Comprehension Skills: They will be reading about modern history

every week and answering comprehension questions.

2. Social and Communication skills: Each week, they will be practicing

communication skills by answering questions at home and discussing

the answers in class.

3. Increased Engagement: The majority of class time will include

hands-on activities to enhance their understanding of what they read

at home.

Overall, Story of the World, with its focus on reading comprehension, team work, and hands-on activities, provides students with a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. It equips them with the necessary
