Tap Level 2 is designed for students ages 10 and up who have a strong foundation in tap dance and are ready to advance their technique, musicality, and performance skills. This class builds upon the fundamentals learned in Tap Level 1, introducing more intricate footwork, complex rhythms, and increased speed and control. Students will also refine their improvisation skills, strengthen their ability to listen and respond to music, and develop greater confidence in their artistry.
Students will explore more advanced tap sequences, combinations, and choreography while
also studying the evolution of tap dance and its legendary performers. To reinforce learning,
students will receive handouts and complete quizzes throughout the year.
Eligibility Requirements:
To enroll in Tap Level 2, students must:
✔ Successfully complete Tap Level 1 and pass an evaluation test to move up
✔ If new to the instructor’s tap program, schedule an audition to determine placement

Tap dance shoes
Folder with pockets for organizing handouts
Pencil, pen, and highlighter for notes
Comfortable dance attire (leggings, joggers, t-shirts, or shorts)
Water bottle for hydration
Small hand towel for sweat management
