Watercolor is a very unique medium. Learning watercolor is an exercise in patience. It is a challenge to learn to control the water and make it and the paint pigment work together to create a beautiful, unique masterpiece. This class will help your children gain confidence in their watercolor art. We will learn watercolor basics, techniques that are unique to watercolor paints, color theory, and so much more. We will paint along with the seasons and holidays, with more projects in between!Students will paint along with the teacher “Bob Ross Style”, but at times they will be given the time to explore their watercolors and create their own art.

We will also hold an art show at the end of the year!

Beginner Watercolor is geared toward students who want to learn skills and techniques on how to make their art a beautiful, finished product. At the end of the year, each student will bring home their art supplies and a portfolio full of their amazing work!

Students will need to provide:

• 2 pads of watercolor paper (6"x8” size is perfect as most of our creations will be about 5x7”)

• A portfolio to store their artwork

This class is meant for mature, artistic kids interested in learning.
