I was born and raised in Texas and have lived in Watauga since 2001. I am a single-parent with four kids ages 23, 19, and 14-year-old twin girls.
I worked in the medical field for 20 years. In 2011, while I was still working full-time, I also went to school full-time and earned a Bachelors Degree of Interdisciplinary Studies from UTA graduating with honors. I’m not sure how that happened except to say it was God. In 2016, God redirected my path toward teaching, placed me at the Center. I am thrilled to be starting my fourth year at the Center. My children have struggled with learning disabilities, social anxiety, and my oldest has Aspergers. So, I am familiar with how to relate and reach those students that have similar struggles. I love seeing each students progress and little victories throughout the year.
I enjoy spending time with my children, helping and encouraging others, and serving God!
